Synchronise with Virtual Care Lab was a guided sound walk, connecting landscape through distance walking. In response to the Pandemic, Synchronise sought to engage with local surroundings in a “micro” way. By collectively journeying through locative space, participants were invited to experience the intimacy of their surroundings together, opening up new dialogues and ways of interacting with everyday environments.

Gentle prompts and sense based activity explored inner and outer themes of nature. The walks took place every month between August 2020 and February 2021. Participants met together online to share locative responses, weaving story together and archiving walks through sensory drawing and memory mapping, preserving encounters along the way. Over the course of four months, participants from Edinburgh, London, Vancouver, Seattle and L.A took part in synchronise.

Synchronise was also part of Soundwalk September with Walk Listen Create in 2020 https://walklistencreate.org/walkingevent/synchronise-guided-sound-walk-and-online-gathering/
